Robots That Vacuum And Mop: What's New? No One Is Discussing
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one session without the need to change devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads with the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For instance, you can request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are also excellent as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will show you exactly what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
2. automated vacuum cleaner , the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the best options available. This powerful vacuum removes dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice addition that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many convenient features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has several features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mop heads, makes use of two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. auto vacuum cleaner offers a number of features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
